I have found a life
Cured by the fire of madness,
and passion, severed by death,
and disease, tortured by ignorance,
and confusion, and
redeemed by understanding,
serenity, and love.
I have witnessed the murder
of devotion, and
friendship, hearts slain,
and left bleeding
still beating with disbelief
hope stricken
devices left chained to terrible histories
talents laid aside for addictions
or lies
I have seen the injustice of a man unto his very self
and I cannot change the verdict
his fate is his own puppet.
